02/02/2010:
Not alot of work achieved, but we started to discuss what props we would use for the broadcast. Also we started to finalise the treatment and make our final decsions on what our packages will be about. All of the people who were making pre-recorded packages were starting risk assessments and call sheets.
09/02/2010:
Today the group started to develop the structure of the show, we knew that the broadcast had to be 30 minutes long, with a 4 minute break in the middle. This meant that there would be an average time of 3 minutes for pre recorded packages and 5 minutes for live packages. With this in mind, it would leave a minute to add-lib for presenters.
We also assigned job roles for the group, I requested to be a presenter. This then meant i could fill out the job description section of the assignment.
The group decided on a name for the broadcast. "'B' Exclusive" was chosen. the 'B' stands for Block, as in the tower block of the college. This is where the show would be filmed.
As a group we set up the green screen. this gave us the oppotunity to see how the green screen works. We were each given a subject to talk about in front of the green screen, and we had to find a matching picture. My subject was Terry Pratich supporting euthanasia, so I searched the internet for a picture of him in the right size. 720 x 576 was the size I needed. I managed to find a picture of this size, and added onto the green screen.
02/03/2010:
We called a group meeting to dusicuss the multi-camera production. Finalisations to the timings and contingency plans. For example, for a member of the crew was absent on the day of filming, what we would do is ask a member of the crew from the other to fill in for them. And what would happen if we were running over time.
We also talked about where the members of the group were in regaurds to finishing thier packages. And what they needed to do if they had not completed it.
I also wrote the script for presenting with Charlotte.
